Privacy & analytics
Plain-language summary of how this marketing site handles your data. We keep it honest and minimal, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APP).
The analytics tool we use
This marketing site uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-respecting analytics tool. Plausible is cookieless — it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device — and it collects no personal data and does not track you across other websites. It does not build a profile of you.
Page and section-view capture
We measure two things: a page view (which page of this marketing site was loaded) and a section view (which major section of a page — for example the hero or the sector chooser — came into view as you scrolled). This tells us, in aggregate, what people find useful so we can improve it. None of this identifies you personally.
Attribution parameters
Some links carry attribution parameters in the address bar —
a ?sector= hint (which volunteer sector a visitor arrived
for) and a ref value (where a visit was referred from).
These are attribution hints, not identity: they help us
understand which sectors and channels bring people to 1vol. We pass only
the clean sector hint to our analytics tool; we do not feed
the address bar wholesale into it, and these parameters are not used to
identify you.
Your choices
Because we collect no personal data and set no cookies, there is nothing to opt out of for this analytics. If you have a question about your data, contact us and we will help.
